Zeno Facades completed the replacement of an ageing roof and facade system over a school swimming pool in South London, upgrading the building envelope to improve durability, performance, and long-term reliability.

The existing polycarbonate central valley roof had suffered from years of weathering and impact damage, leading to ongoing maintenance challenges. To address this, Zeno Facades designed and installed a new structural solution, introducing a steel frame to form a traditional pitched roof. This design diverted water effectively to external gutters, improving drainage and reducing the risk of future issues.

The works involved the careful removal and disposal of the existing polycarbonate system, followed by the installation of a new insulated metal roof and facade system. The selected materials were specifically suited to the high-humidity environment of a swimming pool, enhancing both thermal performance and resistance to moisture-related deterioration.

The completed project provides a robust and modern roofing and facade solution, significantly improving the building’s performance while extending its lifespan. It demonstrates Zeno Facades’ ability to design and deliver tailored envelope solutions in technically demanding environments.
